Make Every Day Count
Counting the Omer: A 49-Day Path to Liberation using Tarot & Kabbalah.
Because the Waite-Smith tarot deck was specifically designed for each card to correspond with teachings encoded on the Kabbalistic Tree of Life you can actually use the tarot for traditional Kabbalistic rituals. This class will teach you one such a traditional Kabbalistic ritual—the practice of Counting the Omer—so you can forge a greater connection to the Divine and so you can enrich your tarot readings with greater spiritual depth.
The practice of Counting the Omer will take you on an inner mythic journey that follows the path of the ancient Israelites from their first day of freedom from enslavement in Egypt to their arrival at Mt. Sinai 49-days later, where they experienced Divine revelation. Each day of this 49-day practice is an opportunity to go deep within, using the tarot cards that correspond to each day’s Sephirotic energies for meditation and contemplation. This practice will strengthen your spiritual container to hold and share ever-greater light.
This is practical Kabbalah—which means you’ll learn key concepts that you will be able to use daily, without any complicated, abstract, or abstruse philosophy. You’ll learn how the meanings of each card are rooted in the meanings of their positions on the Tree of Life. And you’ll learn how to apply those meanings for self-reflection in the work of purifying the heart as preparation for an encounter with your personal Divine revelation at the end of the 49-day practice.
